We could not have been happier with Joe as our wedding DJ! He kept the party going all night. He played songs that appealed to every generation and got aunts and uncles on the floor that I have never seen dancing in my life! Joe was also a professional and awesome MC, moving the party along and making sure we stuck to the timeline. On top of that, he is a super nice guy. We had the best dance party of all time. Joe did an amazing job at our wedding. The dance floor was full the entire night with guests of all ages and friends repeatedly came up to my husband and me to tell us how great our DJ was. I think the music at a wedding is so important and while I knew we were in good hands going into the wedding I couldn’t have ever predicted the party that ensued. The cocktail hour was perfect — people were telling me it sounded like a lounge in Brooklyn, which I think is the highest compliment, and also amazing that you could channel that vibe given the backdrop. I don’t even know what to say about the party. Everyone danced for two or three hours straight, the sequence of songs was amazing and the fact that you wove in Genuine’s “Pony” and it killed — I think that’s the true test of an amazing DJ set. Thank you so much for being a part of our wedding, you really made all the difference!
If you are looking for an awesome DJ who knows how to throw an epic dance party- Sounds Buono is the way to go! Hiring Joe was probably one of the best decisions we made for our special day, our guests had so much fun and he really did an amazing job. Not only was Joe extremely professional, but he was also accommodating and willing to go outside his comfort zone when my husband and I had asked him to emcee a traditional Chinese chair game. Best of all, Joe contributed to making our wedding a blast and played the perfect songs at the right times so that the dance floor was never empty.

Joe was an incredibly professional, helpful, and fun DJ! My wife and I had a morning wedding ceremony and midday brunch reception, and Joe did a fantastic job choosing the perfect playlist for this unusual format. Joe was great! A true professional from start to finish. He told us on the first call that he wanted to be one piece of our wedding day that we didn’t need to worry about — and he was right. He was there early, took care of audio for our ceremony and cocktail hour, and even dressed the part in a tux. When dancing time came, Joe tore it up. We’re still getting comments about how great the music was from our friends and relatives. Joe’s selection of music was very tasteful, he read the room well, and kept people on the dance floor until we had to stop for the local noise ordinance. From the first time we chatted on the phone with Joe through the end of the reception he was competent, professional, and friendly. On the day-of he not only provided great tunes, but also managed audio for everything else perfectly. We would happily recommend Joe to anyone and everyone, without reservation — he’s that good.

Hiring Joe was one of the best wedding decisions we made, if not the best! He worked with us on picking the music for our ceremony and helped us curate an awesome playlist for the reception. On the day of the wedding, he showed up early, set everything up with ease (all top of the line equipment) and made sure he knew how to pronounce everyone’s last names correctly. The music for the outdoor ceremony sounded amazing, thanks to his portable speakers. The microphone sound was clear and at a perfect volume for our officiant. The reception was just as exceptional, the dance party lasted for over four hours and all of our guests (from kids to grandparents) danced their hearts out! Joe even created an original Bosnian circle dance/Hora mash-up (it was a Bosnian/Jewish wedding) that positively lit up the dance party.
We are truly thrilled with Joe’s work and couldn’t recommend his services more. Planning a wedding can be stressful, and sometimes things don’t go according to plan, but if you hire this man, you’re are guaranteed to have one hell of a dance party that your guests will be talking about for years.

My husband and I loved Joe from our very first video call with him. We were planning a wedding in Narragansett from out-of-state, and we really connected with how Joe runs the show at Sounds Buono. He is simultaneously chill and super professional, which put our minds at ease. Finding the right DJ was one of our top priorities- we had a relatively small wedding but wanted everyone to feel like they were at a big party. We connected with him over the vibe we wanted for our wedding, which is incredibly important since the DJ really sets the tone with both the music and MCing. Joe clearly loves music and is incredibly knowledgable, and there was a great flow in music selection of picking up on the music we like and playing specific song requests. From the ceremony to the cocktail hour to the speeches and dance party, Joe handled everything flawlessly. He even fielded an on-the-fly request from my cousin to play a surprise video. The sound quality of the equipment was excellent and everything could be heard perfectly all night. And the dance party- oh the dance party. EVERYONE was out on the dance floor dancing together- our parents, my younger cousins and all of our friends. My husband and I couldn't tear ourselves away from the dance floor. I received SO many comments after about what a fun time everyone had and how absolutely incredible the DJ was.
